I am a Christian. I believe whole heartedly there is a God, He works through me, Heaven and Hell both exist, the whole nine yards. Here is my opinion of gay marriage (not that anyone asked).
Corinthians 6:9-10 states “The wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God. Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God”
If you don’t speak God talk that basically means you will not go to Heaven if you are promiscuous, idol anything but God, cheat on your spouse, have sex for money if you are male (guess us ladies got a pass on this one), are homosexual, steal, are greedy, drink excessively, slander the reputation of others, or deceive people in forms of manipulation or fraud.
Tell me then why is it, that everyone is so up in arms that God says you can’t be gay? He also says you can steal or drink too much and most people have done one or both in their life.
Back to my point….gay marriage….I’m curious as to why drunks and thieves can get married but gay’s can’t. That part never made much sense to me. Christians aren’t found outside of bars with picket signs reminding people of God’s word. Or is it really just that there’s too many people out there looking for a good fight, and this fight (gay marriage) happened to have a big ol’ bandwagon along side of it?
There you have it folks. An opinion of gay marriage told through a true Christian. Thanks for listening!
